There are now parts of the level that the player can swim through, and as such there are new (albeit weak) enemies. The player must destroy all of the armor on its back and then hit it on the head. Eventually, the player reaches the stage midboss, the Hunter Snake. The player also interacts with craters in the ground that release puffs of air that propel the player upward. The player then reaches a puzzle in which they have to push a block onto a button for a gate to open, but if Lilac is the player's character, then she can stand on the button and dragon boost through the gate from that spot in order to squeeze through before it closes, earning the player the "Lilac the Switch Skipper" achievement. This enemy is tougher than any of the previous ones as it requires much more hits for it to be defeated, but when it is killed the wall turns into Crustal Shards, allowing the player to continue. ![]() Eventually, the player will reach a wall blocking their way that is guarded by a miniboss called the Wretchnid. Most of them are fairly weak, however, and can be defeated with a few hits from Lilac, Carol, or Torque's regular attacks. There is some platforming, but the biggest threat to the player is the abundance of enemies. It is somewhat dry with not much vegetation, although more can be seen when the player heads downward.
